Santa Rosa Unveils New Public Art Walk Showcasing National and Local Talent

The City of Santa Rosa's Public Art Program is proud to announce the launch of the 2025-2027 Santa Rosa Art Walk, a two-year temporary public art exhibition that transforms the city's core into an immersive, open-air gallery. Featuring nine artists from across the United States-including two based in Santa Rosa-the exhibition celebrates creativity, innovation, and community connection through sculpture, light, and interactive installations.

Stretching from Historic Railroad Square to the Museum of Sonoma County and into Downtown Santa Rosa, the Art Walk invites residents and visitors alike to explore artworks that reflect sustainability, imagination, and resilience. The installations are strategically placed along key pedestrian corridors, creating an accessible and engaging cultural experience for all.

"This exhibition is a celebration of Santa Rosa's growing creative landscape," said Mayor Mark Stapp. "It brings together diverse voices and artistic visions to inspire, connect, and reimagine our shared public spaces."

The artists were selected through a competitive national call for entries, which drew 109 submissions. A panel approved by the Art in Public Places Committee evaluated the proposals based on artistic excellence, innovation, and community impact.
