Shore Medical Center announced today that Destiny Moore, hospital housekeeper in the Environmental Services (EVS) department, has been named its December Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional patient care. Shore established the Guardian Angel program to enable community members to say "thank you" to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center in their honor.
Moore, of Somers Point, has been a valued member of the EVS team at Shore Medical Center since October 2023.
"Destiny is an employee who is full of energy and positivity," said her supervisor, Agustin Freight. "She brings enthusiasm to the team, takes initiative, and is always willing to go the extra mile. Destiny is dedicated, reliable, proactive, consistent, and a bright presence throughout the hospital."
A grateful patient recently made a Guardian Angel donation in Moore's honor and shared:
"We met Destiny in the Emergency Department when my companion was sick. She is such a special person that naturally makes you feel comfortable by her warm, sweet, and kind personality. I wanted Destiny to know that her biblical name means 'God's purpose in our lives.' Thank you for all you do!"
Outside of work, Moore's greatest joy comes from spending time with her husband, her sons, and her family. She is also a music lover, especially fond of artists like Justin Bieber and The Beatles.
Shore Medical Center's Guardian Angel program provides an opportunity for patients and families to recognize anyone at Shore who makes a difference in their care or experience. Guardian Angels are recognized among their peers and presented with a Guardian Angel pin at Shore's annual pinning ceremony.
