Vote at unique locations in Amsterdam and Weesp

On Wednesday 29 October, the elections for the House of Representatives will take place. You can vote at any polling station in Amsterdam and Weesp. This year, there are many new and special locations to choose from.

You can cast your vote in a church, museum, library, historic building or even in the middle of nature. Voting in such a place makes the day extra special.

Practical information

Before you go to vote:

  • Check the digital map with all polling stations in Amsterdam and Weesp, including opening times and accessibility information.
  • Most polling stations are open from 07.30 to 21.00.
  • Some have different opening hours.
  • Bring your polling card and proof of identity.

City Centre

Red Light Jazz Radio - Zeedijk 44H

A unique spot where music, culture and community meet. On election day there will be a live radio session, a special blend of democracy and jazz.

Central Station - Stationsplein

For the first time, there are two polling stations at Central Station: one near tram 26 from IJburg and one by Wagamama, close to the Buiksloterweg ferry. Convenient if you are on the move.

De Nederlandsche Bank - Frederiksplein 61

After five years of renovation, the building has reopened. Visitors can vote here and view the new art and money collection.

Nieuw-West

Het EECO - S.F. van Ossstraat 1

A local community project focused on togetherness and sustainability. During the elections, this small but meaningful space turns into a polling station.

Van Eesteren Pavilion - Noordzijde 31

Located by the Sloterplas, this museum tells the story of post-war city planning. On 29 October, you can vote here and visit the free exhibition Just City.

Noord

Tolhuistuin - IJpromenade 2

A lively cultural venue by the IJ River, home to music, theatre and art. Cast your vote in a creative and inspiring setting.

Buiksloterkerk - Buiksloterkerkpad 10

A historic village church surrounded by greenery. A peaceful, atmospheric place to vote.

Oost

Inholland Academy - Pina Bauschplein 4

This new campus on Zeeburgereiland hosts around 7,000 students. During the elections, it also serves as a polling station.

Hofkerk - Linnaeushof 94

A national monument with beautiful stained-glass windows. Vote here in a quiet and impressive environment.

West

De Otter Windmill - Kostverlorenvaart

The oldest sawmill in Amsterdam, built in 1641. Vote here and experience a piece of living history.

Museum Het Schip - Oostzaanstraat 45

An icon of the Amsterdam School architecture. Vote in this monument full of history and character.

Zuid

WTC Amsterdam - Zuidplein 12-14

An international hub for working, learning and meeting. Next to the polling station you can see an impressive 70 m² model of Amsterdam, an inspiring place to vote for the future.

Stichting Welzijn Doven Amsterdam - Stadhouderskade 89

Here, the polling station is run by deaf and hard-of-hearing staff, with a sign language interpreter present all day.

Zuidoost

De Tafelberg - Tafelbergweg 8

A residential complex for young people and starters. On election day, it becomes a lively polling station full of energy and optimism.

NoLIMIT Cultural Centre - Geldershoofd 80

Normally a creative space for young people, now a place where creativity, community and democracy come together.

Weesp

Wispe Brewery - Herengracht 16

Located in a former church in the historic heart of Weesp. After voting, take a stroll through the charming town centre.

Weesp Fire Station - Aetsveldselaan 65

Run by volunteer firefighters who are always on call. On election day, the fire station will also serve as a polling place.
