Chinese Ambassador to Slovenia Kang Yan Pays a Courtesy Call to Ms. Tanja Fajon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia

On February 11, 2026, Ambassador Kang Yan paid a courtesy call to Ms. Tanja Fajon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia. They exchanged views on China-Slovenia relations, multilateral cooperation and international situation.

Ambassador Kang conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from Foreign Minister Wang Yi, noting that China-Slovenia relations have maintained steady and sound development in recent years, with practical cooperation advancing across the board. China stands ready to work with Slovenia to fully implement the important common understandings of the two leaders, further enhance political mutual trust, strengthen cooperation within the framework of China-CEEC cooperation, as well as coordination and collaboration in multilateral fields.

Ms. Fajon welcomed Ambassador Kang on her assumption of office. She stated that Slovenia attaches great importance to developing relations with China, stands ready to play a positive role in advancing the sound and stable development of EU-China relations, and is willing to work with China to firmly uphold multilateralism, international equity and justice.
