Eight University of Delaware students and alumni will take their curiosity and budding expertise across the globe as the latest recipients of the U.S. Fulbright Scholarship, continuing UD's long-standing tradition of international scholarship and cultural exchange.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the U.S. government's flagship international academic exchange program. Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided over 400,000 talented and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists and professionals of all backgrounds with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research abroad.
UD's Office of National Fellowships (ONF) administers the Fulbright application process and supports candidates through the national deadline in October. UD undergraduates, graduate students and alumni who are U.S. citizens can apply for this award.
While some will focus on research projects and graduate study, others will focus on cultural exchange through teaching and storytelling. Here are the 2026-27 recipients from UD:
