The Initial Press Release of a Quicksilver MXL II Sport Ultralight Vehicle Crash in Gaoshu Township, Pingtung County

At approximately 1015 hours (Taipei Time) on March 7, 2026, a Quicksilver MXL II Sport ultralight vehicle, carrying one operator, crashed into farmland near the intersection of Industrial Road and Guangfu Road in Gaoshu Township, Pingtung County. The ultralight vehicle was destroyed. The operator was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Upon receiving the notification, the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) immediately dispatched investigators to the occurrence site in accordance with the procedures for investigating major aviation occurrences to collect relevant information. The TTSB has classified this event as an aviation occurrence in accordance with the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act. An official investigation has been initiated, and the investigation team will continue to gather relevant evidence.
