Governor Meyer Announces Summer 2026 Internship Program

WILMINGTON - Today, Governor Matt Meyer announced that his office is now accepting applications for its summer internship program.

"We're excited to launch our office's Summer 2026 internship program, giving students from across Delaware critical knowledge about what it takes to manage state government," Governor Matt Meyer said. "We're looking for folks who understand the importance of public service, and we encourage all of those eligible to apply."

Over ten weeks, from early June through mid-August, interns will assist the Office of the Governor staff by serving Delaware residents and gaining knowledge about state government. Potential projects and responsibilities include drafting proclamations, tributes, and event memos; answering constituent calls; conducting research on policy matters; and attending events such as a cabinet speaker series and legislative hearings.

Rising and current undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply. Applicants should contact their universities to receive credit for the internship.

Please submit a cover letter, resume, and brief writing sample to [email protected] by 5 pm on Friday, May 1st.
