January 9, 2025 - If your family is looking for a cure to the 'Winter Blues,' the City of Bettendorf has a remedy.
On Sunday, February 1, the City is hosting a new event called
Winterfest at The Landing Ice Rink (2255 Middle Road). The event will take place right after the
Frosty Four Fun Run, which is a yearly event organized by the Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Department. Below are some details about both events:
Frosty Four Fun Run

Check-in: 8 a.m. at The Lodge in The Landing Ice Rink

Start Time: 8:30 a.m. from the lower-level parking lot of The Landing Ice Rink

Four-mile route: east on Middle Road > south on 23rd Street > take trail heading east to Devils Glen Park > return to The Landing Ice Rink

Fee: $25 until Wednesday, January 28 at 12 p.m., $30 during check-in

All pre-registered participants will receive a beanie, medal, and one free drink at The Lodge following the run
Winterfest
Time: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Fee: free admission (skate rental fees still apply)

"We frequently hear of families looking for fun events in the winter months, so our team is excited to host Winterfest at The Landing Ice Rink this February," said John Byrnes, Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Director. "The Landing Ice Rink is the ideal venue to host an event for all ages to get outside and embrace the winter weather. From live music and ice sculpting to s'mores stations and beer samples for adults, there will be something for the entire family to enjoy."
