Portland, OR - On Tuesday, the Oregon Capital Chronicle published a report revealing that Republican candidate for governor Christine Drazan funneled nearly $100,000 from her dark money group to a private consulting firm she owns - raising serious questions about Drazan's self-dealing scheme.
Here's what Oregonians are reading about Drazan's shady dealings:
The Democratic Party of Oregon has called on Drazan to release a list of donors to her dark money group and clients to her consulting firm, so voters can know what Christine Drazan's secret donors got for their money, and why she used a nonprofit to pad her personal bank account.
"Christine Drazan has organized a self-dealing scheme to line her own pockets using non-profit donations, and Oregonians deserve to know why," said Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Nathan Soltz. "We've seen what unchecked corruption looks like at the federal level with Donald Trump. Oregonians deserve better than another right-wing politician getting rich on her supporters' donations. It's time to release the list."
