Chinese Ambassador to Dominica Chu Maoming Visits Tourism Infrastructure in Pont Cassé

His Excellency Chu Maoming, China's Ambassador to Dominica, toured a distinctive local homestay in Pont Cassé with Hon. Joseph Isaac, Speaker of the House, and experts of the Chinese Agricultural Team. The group also visited a modern agricultural greenhouse.

During the tour, Ambassador Chu gained a detailed understanding of the homestay's services, facilities, and operations. He commended its innovative development model, which skillfully blends Dominica's traditional culture with modern comforts to actively attract international tourists. Ambassador Chu also introduced China's flourishing homestay industry under its rural revitalization strategy. He suggested that China and Dominica could further enhance exchanges and cooperation in areas like homestays and rural tourism, and share creative ideas towards a shared bright future.

Ambassador Chu subsequently visited a nearby modern agricultural greenhouse, during which he was briefed on water-saving irrigation and organic farming practices. Ambassador Chu also urged the agricultural team to strengthen communication with local farmers, promote advanced agricultural techniques, and leverage the fruits of agricultural cooperation to boost sustainable tourism development.
