Kansas City area maintenance work for Jan. 5-9

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Jan. 5 until Jan. 9. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 435 southbound ramp to Interstate 70 eastbound: ramp closed on Monday, Jan. 5 from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for concrete repair.

Missouri Highway 7 between Missouri Highway 150 and Herring Rd.:flagging operations on Monday, Jan. 5, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for drainage/pavement repair.

Interstate 470 westbound to Interstate 435 westbound: right and left lane closures on Tuesday, Jan. 6 from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for concrete repair.

Missouri Highway 40 between SW 19th St. and SW 15th St.: right lane closure on Tuesday, Jan. 6 from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

U.S. 50 Highway westbound over 3rd St.: various lane closures on Thursday, Jan. 8 from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route B between SE 1150 Rd. and Henry Co. line: flagging operations from Monday, Jan. 5 until Friday, Jan. 9, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

Route PP between SE 251 Rd. and SE 371 Rd.: flagging operations from Monday, Jan. 5 until Wednesday, Jan. 7, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

Route EE between SE 701 Rd. and SE 501 Rd.: flagging operations on Thursday, Jan. 8 and Friday, Jan. 9, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Highway 224 between Giblin Rd. and County Farm Rd.: road closed from Monday, Jan. 5 until Friday, Jan. 9 from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

SALINE COUNTY

Missouri Highway 240 between Missouri Highway 41 south and Howard Co. line: flagging operation on Monday, Jan. 5 and Tuesday, Jan. 6, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for shoulder repair work.

Missouri Highway 127 between Missouri Highway 20 and Interstate 70: flagging operation from Wednesday, Jan 7, until Friday, Jan. 9, for shoulder repair work.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
