Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu Meets with H.E. Khatibzadeh, the President of Institute for Political and International Studies of Iran

On October 12, Ambassador Cong Peiwu met with H.E. Khatibzadeh, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and the President of Institute for Political and International Studies of Iran and well-known researchers of the Institute.

Ambassador Cong introduced the Global Governance Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and said that in response to the once-in-a-century transformations unfolding faster across the world, the Global Governance Initiative comes at the right time, further contributing China's wisdom and presenting China's solution to strengthen and improve global governance. China is willing to strengthen exchanges of experience in state governance and administration and jointly promote the steady and long-term growth of the China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership.

Khatibzadeh highly evaluated the Global Governance Initiative and said that the Institute for Political and International Studies of Iran is willing to strengthen cooperation with Chinese think tanks and exchange of ideas of two sides to promote the development of Iran-China relations.
