The world needs to understand and believe that education can protect humanity, prevent wars, and strengthen peace. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized this in his speech at the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen.

The Head of State noted that when an education system is used for propaganda and the manipulation of history, it leads to tragedies such as the aggression of one country against others. He stressed that Russia's political dishonesty is largely built on its academic dishonesty - on the dishonesty of those who teach its children"And this is a major lesson for all of us - for those who want protection from Russia and guaranteed security for our children. As long as Russian schools do not teach humanity, agreements with Russia will not work," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President noted that it is especially important for Russia's neighbors to limit its influence on their economies, culture, media, and education. Careful attention must be paid to everything: from the content children watch to cooperation at the level of universities, if it involves the academic or any other environment in the Russian Federation.
"We need family policies and support for families in our countries that would give parents greater opportunities to see how their children are growing up and what their lives revolve around. We need far more connections between countries not only at the level of politics, but also at the level of communities, at the level of our people. And this includes school exchanges and opportunities for students," the Head of State emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed that on the previous day he held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Minister of Finance, and the team in the cultural sphere, during which, among other things, they discussed the creation of a large amount of content to serve as an alternative to Russian content. After all, the task of every country is to consciously support its own culture and education.
The President is convinced that in these difficult times of war, Ukrainians endure because millions of them know how to do something better than others.
"In the end, we must prevail both in the field of law and in the field of culture - and therefore in the field of education - in order to maintain our advantage in the sphere of security. And it is important that we see this challenge in the same way - all of us, different, yet the same: humanity must prevail," Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
