Aug. 19, 2025 - Harlo McCall has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Smith. The 80-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located at 1401 South J Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The hospital serves patients recovering from a life-changing illness or injury.
"I look forward to leading the incredible team at Encompass Health Fort Smith," said McCall. "I've been part of the Encompass Health family for 11 years, and I am passionate about the high-quality rehabilitation care Encompass Health provides its patients."
Prior to his appointment at Encompass Health Fort Smith, McCall served as the first CEO of Rehabilitation Hospital of Owasso, an affiliate of Encompass Health, in Oklahoma, and CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Texarkana in Texas. McCall brings more than 28 years of clinical and administrative experience, including roles as chief nursing officer and chief operating officer.

"Harlo is a seasoned health care executive who brings a wealth of knowledge to Encompass Health Fort Smith. McCall holds a bachelor's degree in nursing and master's degree in health care management from William Carey College in Mississippi.
Encompass Health Fort Smith opened to patients in 1993. The hospital holds The Joint Commission Disease-Specific Care Certification in Stroke, Amputee and Hip Fracture Rehabilitation.
