ALHAMBRA, CA - Assemblymember Mike Fong (D-Alhambra) announced that he secured $7 million in one-time state budget funding for community projects across Assembly District 49. The investments will support youth and families, improve local parks and recreational spaces, and expand access to behavioral health and wellness services.

The $7 million in funding secured for Assembly District 49 includes:

  • $2 million for the Crowell Family YMCA in South Pasadena to support its continued work providing programs and services for youth, families, and the broader community.
  • $1.5 million for Sereno Park in Temple City to support improvements to the community park and enhance recreational opportunities for residents.
  • $3.5 million for the Chinatown Service Center Behavioral Health and Youth Wellness Center in Monterey Park to expand access to behavioral health resources and wellness services for youth and families.

"Bringing resources back to our communities is one of my top priorities," said Assemblymember Mike Fong. "This $7 million investment responds directly to local needs by supporting spaces where families gather, young people grow, and residents can access critical services.
