Western Maryland Chapter Hosts Financial Reality Fair
Over 270 high school students attended the Western Maryland Credit Union Reality Fair where they learned practical lessons in living within their means.
Students select a career and allocate their income for essential expenses. They also have the option to spend their hard-earned money on non-essentials like vacations, spa treatments, and pets. This real-life simulation helps students learn the importance of smart budgeting.
The event was hosted by the Western Maryland Chapter of the MDDC Credit Union Association in partnership with the Association and the Credit Union Foundation MD|DC.
More than 20 credit union volunteers from ACT 1st Federal Credit Union, Chessie Federal Credit Union, Wepco Federal Credit Union, and SECU Credit Union helped make this event a success!
