Just one day after JD Vance assumed the position of Vice President, Ohio's Lt. Governor, Jon Husted, was sworn in as his replacement in the U.S. Senate. JD Vance administered the Oath of Office during the ceremony, which took place at the U.S Capitol, with Governor DeWine, Senator Bernie Moreno and Husted's family present. The OBL's President & CEO, Mike Adelman, and the VP of Government Relations, Evan Kleymeyer, along with several other OBL Members were also in attendance at the ceremony.
Governor DeWine selected Husted out of a pool of Republicans vying for the position as soon as Senator Vance became the Vice President- Elect. With Husted and Moreno in office, Ohio has two Republicans Senators for the first time since 2007.
"I will continue to be an America-first conservative who wants to get things done. I can't wait to work with Donald Trump and JD Vance to deliver for Ohio and our nation. Let's get to work," Husted said on X last week.
