Two special events honor veterans in…

CHANDLER, Ariz. - The City of Chandler will honor the brave men and women who have served our country this November.

On Friday, Nov. 8, active and retired military service members and their loved ones are invited to the 4^th Annual Military Appreciation Breakfast. Attendees can enjoy a presentation of colors, entertainment, information about community resources and a complimentary breakfast. This free event will be held at Chandler Community Center, 125 E. Commonwealth Ave., from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Each registered veteran can bring one guest. General public registration will open on Nov. 4.

Next, on Monday, Nov. 11, the city will host the annual Veterans Day event at the patriotic Field of Honor, located within Veterans Oasis Park. The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with acknowledgments recognizing our local heroes.

These civic events are presented by the Military and Veterans Affairs Commission and Community Services Department.

Field of Honor is located within Veterans Oasis Park at 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road. Free parking is available on-site.
