DENVER - This week the Colorado Democratic Party launched a micro-site, "Con or Marx-ism?" and is continuing with 15 Days of Marx-ism to remind Colorado voters just how extreme, reckless and unfit Republican nominee Victor Marx is and spotlight the top Marx-isms.
Victor's Marx-isms Day 3: "It's kind of silly that we've got to answer questions."
During a gubernatorial campaign rocked by scandal after scandal (after scandal, after scandal), Victor Marx has tried both dodging accountability and attempting to explain away his lies.
In late July Marx used an episode of his podcast to save his campaign from himself. Instead, it only reinforced that Marx believes he's above answering questions and that Colorado voters are "lazy":
"On one hand, it's kind of silly that we gotta answer questions for a couple of reasons. I don't understand why we have to. But I would say this. There are a lot of, there are a lot of people who are lazy, who simply don't want to go to the YouTube websites that we have, view, look in social media, Google."
Marx has avoided every single scheduled debate of the General Election. The only joint appearance between Marx and the Democratic nominee, Phil Weiser, was aforum last week. The organizers reportedlykicked out their planned moderator so Marx would participate, allowed Marx to have the questions beforehand, and saw Marx read all of his answers out of a notebook for the 45-minute session.
Marx even avoided debates in traditionally red-leaning areas like Colorado Springs and theWestern Slope - and only bothered to attend one "off-the-rails" televised debate during the Republican primary. Another potential debate moderator called out Marx for backing out of a debate and then lying about it.
