Clarification on Main Street Moves
We've received a lot of questions about what's happening with Main Street Moves and the parklets in Downtown Ventura. Here's the latest.
Main Street, between Fir Street and Mission Park, and part of California Street, between Poli and Santa Clara, are still closed to vehicles under the California Vehicle Code. So far, no final decision has been made about whether that will change.
The City Council has requested that staff return on September 16, 2025, with additional information to inform their decision on whether to maintain the closure or reopen the streets to vehicles later this fall.

Daily road closures will be in effect, including southbound Figueroa Street and California Street during Fair hours. Fairgoers are encouraged to use the shuttle system to reduce road congestion.
