12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to South Sudan (Juba) Passes UN Equipment Inspection

JUBA, March 19 -- The 12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) passed the UNMISS's equipment inspection for the first quarter of 2026 with high standards. The inspection team confirmed that all the Chinese peacekeeping battalion's equipment complied with the standards of UN peacekeeping operations.

This equipment inspection was carried out by a joint assessment team composed of multiple departments of the UNMISS. It conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the Chinese peacekeeping infantry battalion's vehicles and equipment, weapons and ammunition, medical facilities, communication devices, firefighting systems, and other materials and assets.

After systematic evaluation, the inspection team gave high praise to the overall results.
