The City of Palm Bay Recreation Department is now accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Camp Financial Assistance Program. This program is designed to help make summer camp more accessible for Palm Bay families by offering eligible residents up to 50 percent off weekly camp fees per child.
All families interested in financial assistance must complete the official application and submit all required documentation before registering for camp. Applications must be fully completed, including a signed original form and all supporting documents, in order to be reviewed and processed. Please allow three to five business days for application review. Applicants will be notified once their application has been processed.
If approved, participants must still register and pay for each week of camp to secure their child's spot. Approval for financial assistance does not automatically enroll a child in camp. For families who are approved and ready to make payment, Recreation staff may assist with registration prior to the general registration date of April 20.
To apply, families must provide required documentation, which includes proof of residency, identification, income verification, and applicable eligibility documentation such as EBT participation, free or reduced lunch status, or qualification through the Community Development Block Grant program.
Completed applications and all supporting documents must be submitted in person at either the Ted Whitlock Community Center, located at 370 Championship Circle NW, or the Tony Rosa Community Center, located at 1502 Port Malabar Blvd NE. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
The financial assistance application is available for download at https://www.palmbayfl.gov/daycamps.
