Driver Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Clarksville Pike Wednesday Night

The driver killed in Wednesday's 8 p.m. single-vehicle crash on Clarksville Pike at Ed Temple Boulevard has been identified as Samatha Brady, 29. The preliminary investigation indicates Brady was traveling southbound on Clarksville Pike in a Nissan Altima when it appears she failed to negotiate a turn at a high rate of speed and struck a traffic light pole head on.

She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.

There were no indicators of impairment at the scene.
