MSK and the Qatar Ministry of Public Health Explore a Potential Partnership to Advance Cancer Care in the Middle East

Cancer incidence across the Middle East is projected to more than double by 2050, and breast cancer cases alone are forecast to rise from 2.3 million globally in 2023 to more than 3.5 million by 2050. As a global leader in cancer care, we believe MSK has both the expertise and the responsibility to help.

MSK has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar's Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to advance discussions about a potential strategic partnership that would bring our cancer care expertise to patients and healthcare professionals in Doha, the capital city of Qatar, and across the region. The MoU establishes a framework for both parties to further assess the opportunity and explore the structure of this potential partnership.

The shared vision is to develop a new state-of-the-art cancer facility in Doha that would operate under MSK's clinical standards and protocols - strengthening regional cancer care capabilities and serving as a destination treatment center for patients across the Gulf, East Africa, India, Pakistan, and Asia who today have limited access to highly specialized cancer care.
