Traffic delays expected on Oakland Avenue, Washington Street, and Prospect Road for separate milling operations scheduled to start Monday, September 22, 2025

BLOOMINGTON, IL - Initial roadway milling operations are scheduled to start Monday, September 22, 2025, along Oakland Avenue between Eldorado Road and Hershey Road, Washington Street from Veterans Parkway to Hershey Road, and Prospect Road from Oakland Avenue to Empire Street. This construction operation is scheduled to be completed by September 26, 2025. Roadwork project schedules may change depending on weather and other factors.

This stage of the project will involve milling asphalt from the streets. During construction, traffic will be permitted throughout the area, but it will be impacted by construction operations. The contractor will be staging operations to help maintain resident and business access.
