ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Bethel Assistance Hub will reopen Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, weather permitting, to assist Alaskans who suffered losses in areas affected by the severe storms, flooding and remnants of Typhoon Halong in the state of Alaska Oct. 8-13, 2025. The deadline to apply for state and FEMA Individual Assistance is Feb. 20, 2026.

At the hub, FEMA staff will assist survivors with registering for disaster assistance, answering questions and uploading required documentation. The center is open 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Yup'ik interpreters are available.

Other ways to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance:

• Call the Alaska Call Center at 1-866-342-1699 from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Yup'ik interpreters are available 1-5 p.m. Thursday.
• Register on DisasterAssistance.gov.
• Get the FEMA App and submit your application directly through the app.

The U.S. Small Business Administration offers low interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofits. SBA representatives are on hand 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center at Bethel City Hall, 300 Chief Eddie Hoffman Hwy.
