Moore Regional Recognized Among North Carolina’s Top Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report

PINEHURST - FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, including its Hoke and Richmond campuses, has once again earned recognition in the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals ranking for 2025, ranking 5th in North Carolina.

In addition to the overall state ranking, Moore Regional received high-performing acknowledgements in several procedures and conditions.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or for common elective procedures.

"We are deeply honored to be ranked among the state's top hospitals again this year," said FirstHealth CEO Mickey Foster.

"Our success reflects the unwavering dedication of our care teams, staff, providers and volunteers. We continually invest in cutting-edge facilities and technology, expand services and prioritize compassionate, patient-centered care. We are honored by everyone who trusts us with their care and are committed to providing the highest standard of care to the communities we serve."

U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions; only 13% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation. U.S. News analyzed each hospital's performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and level of nursing care.
