Orrick Continues London Finance Team Buildout with Two Asset-Backed Securitization Partners

  • Orrick is adding two partners to its London Structured Finance team: Suzanne Bell, a Chambers and Legal 500 ranked asset-backed securitizations (ABS) practitioner, and William Bibby, who is a Chambers rising star.
  • These hires follow the addition of a 40-lawyer transatlantic collateralized loan obligation (CLO) and asset-backed lending team to Orrick's debt finance platform in October.
  • With the addition of these partners, which complement its top-tier U.S. ABS and esoterics offering, Orrick continues to deepen its comprehensive debt finance capabilities.
  • Suzanne is recognized for her extensive experience advising on a wide spectrum of traditional and esoteric cross-border structured finance transactions, including NAV credit facilities.
  • Will complements this capability with his UK and cross-border expertise particularly across residential mortgage and other consumer finance warehouse and securitization transactions.
  • They will join from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.

"We're delighted to add Suzie and Will to our platform. Their impressive ABS practice enhances our platform and brings to London strong capabilities in areas where Orrick has long been a U.S. leader," said London Partner David Quirolo. "Our CLO and asset-backed finance work, on both sides of the Atlantic, has been on fire since joining Orrick."

"The integration of our new CLO team has exceeded our expectations by every measure - including continuing their streak of first-to-market transactions. With Suzie and Will, we're continuing to add top talent to help our clients pioneer the innovative financial products of the future," said Leah Sanzari, Orrick's Global Structured Finance Group Leader.

The firm ranked as the No. 3 global CLO arranger counsel by volume for 2025 in both Europe and the U.S. (Octus) and has more Chambers Band 1 and 2 rankings across securitization asset classes in the United States and UK than any other firm.
