Road closure to impact F Avenue between 1st and 4th Streets beginning Friday
Beginning Friday, F Avenue will be closed at 1st Street and 4th Street, and G Avenue will be closed at 1st Street, for the construction of a new roundabout and flood control project.
The construction work is expected to significantly improve traffic and efficiency in the area, which is near the entrance to the future The Cedar Crossing Casino & Entertainment Center.
The closure is expected to be in place through November, with no traffic allowed between 1st and 4th Streets. In roughly three weeks, drivers will be able to use E Avenue as an alternate route; until then, a detour will utilize 1st Avenue.
This project is a partnership with the City, the Cedar Crossing Casino and Entertainment Center, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
