ADM Celebrates 30 Years of Die Arche’s Commitment to Nourishing Children and Strengthening Communities with a Donation of 30,000 Meals

Rolle - At least one warm meal a day - that is a goal of German charity Die Arche - Christliches Kinder- und Jugendwerk e.V. For 30 years, Die Arche has been committed to ensuring that children and young people from socially disadvantaged families have access to nutritious meals, education, and a sense of community.

ADM congratulates Die Arche on its 30th anniversary and continues its partnership with the charity. Once again, ADM is supporting Die Arche's important work, enabling the organization to provide 30,000 free meals for children at its facilities in Hamburg and Berlin.

The shared lunch after school is an important part of Die Arche's daily work. For some children, it is often the first meal they get during the day. Here, they experience the comfort of a regular, balanced meal, alongside a sense of community and appreciation. Eating together creates structure and conveys a sense of belonging - giving children access to the essentials for development and wellbeing.

"For three decades, Die Arche has been providing children with not only nutritious meals but also hope and opportunity - we're honored to collaborate with an organization whose work continues to make a lasting difference in communities across Germany," says Anke Kühnel, HR Director Germany and Poland at ADM. "Advancing access to a reliable, balanced meal lies at the core of our purpose, and we believe in strengthening the communities where we live and work in. The shared meal is much more than nourishment - it is a moment of connection and care."

Arche founder Bernd Siggelkow emphasizes the importance of the renewed donation: "Although we have been fighting the effects of child poverty in our country for three decades, this battle is far from won. On the contrary. We therefore appreciate all the more having such a strong partner as ADM at our side, supporting us not only financially but also with its expertise and personal commitment. We are delighted that this donation will enable us to provide another 30,000 free meals."

In addition to free meals, Die Arche offers homework assistance, leisure activities, sports, and creative programs. The organization creates spaces where children can grow, receive support, and discover new perspectives for their future.

Beyond financial support, ADM colleagues contribute through local volunteer activities, including assisting at a children's festival in Berlin, as well as preparing dinner packages and donating Christmas presents for children in Hamburg.

ADM's contribution was provided through ADM Cares, ADM's corporate social investment program. The program helps sustain and strengthen communities where ADM colleagues work, live and operate by directing funding, volunteerism, and industry knowledge to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide.

About Die Arche
The Christian children's and youth charity "Die Arche" has been working to combat child poverty in Germany since 1995. At Die Arche centers, children receive a free hot lunch every day and help with their homework. They also find meaningful leisure activities, support services, and, above all, people who listen to them and are there for them. Because every child needs affirmation for their self-confidence, as well as the feeling of being important and loved. Die Arche is active at 35 locations throughout Germany and reaches up to 11,000 children and young people, but it also relies on support. Its work is financed almost entirely by donations.
