2024 license renewals close June 30

The 2024 VBOA CPA license renewal season ends Sunday. Please keep in mind, VBOA offices are closed June 29-30 for the weekend and will not have customer service available.

All Virginia CPAs who hold an Active or Inactive license and all CPA firms must renew their license by June 30. The annual renewal fee for an individual license is $60 and the renewal fee for a firm license is $75.

If you miss the deadline, your license will expire July 1. To reinstate an individual license, you must demonstrate proof of 120 CPE hours and pay the $350 reinstatement fee. When your license is expired, you may not use the CPA title or provide attest or compilation services until your license has been reinstated and is shown as "Active" on the VBOA Licensee Search.
