A pedestrian was struck in a hit and run in the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood and traffic officers are investigating.

On Monday, February 9, 2026, at 10:28 p.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to reports of a pedestrian struck on Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Woodward Place. Officers arrived to find the pedestrian seriously injured. Paramedics arrived and transported the pedestrian to an area hospital. The driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene.
Traffic Officers are investigating. During the investigation, Southeast 122nd Avenue will be closed in both directions from Southeast Clinton Street to Southeast Woodward Place.
