U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy and Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Bryan Bedford announced Sunday that the agency's flight reduction emergency order would be terminated on Monday, November 17 at 6 a.m. This means normal operations can resume at airports across the United States.
Tampa International Airport was one of 40 high-volume markets that was experiencing FAA-mandated flight reductions resulting in daily cancellations.
TPA is the 27th largest airport in the U.S. and has approximately 600 flight operations daily, which includes both commercial and private aircraft.
Passengers are encouraged to arrive to the airport two hours ahead of domestic flights and 3 hours ahead of international travel, especially as we enter the busy Thanksgiving holiday travel period.
