Florida City Gas Rate Case Hearing to Begin September 28

The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) will begin an evidentiary hearing on Monday, September 28, to consider Florida City Gas's (FCG) petition to adjust customer rates. FCG provides natural gas service to approximately 125,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in Miami-Dade, Broward, Brevard, Palm Beach, Hendry, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties.

The hearing will provide FCG and intervening parties an opportunity to present sworn testimony and exhibits supporting their positions.

FCG filed its rate adjustment petition with the FPSC in February 2026. As part of the rate review process, the FPSC held three customer service hearings to receive customer comments on FCG's service and proposed rate adjustment.

The hearing is scheduled for the following time and location:

September 28 through October 2 have been reserved for the hearing, if necessary. The start time for each subsequent day's session will be announced at the conclusion of the preceding day's hearing.
