Another Miserable Week for Jack Ciattarelli
It's been another brutal week for two-time failed gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli, from his disastrous debate performance to earning massive backlash, from Democrats and Republicans alike, for his campaign's role in the Trump administration illegally releasing Mikie Sherrill's full, unredacted Navy personnel file - showing that there's no low he won't stoop to in a desperate attempt to sway this election.
Here's a recap of everything that went wrong for Jack this week, as he continues to prove to New Jerseyans why they should reject him for a third time.
First, Jack Ciattarelli's extreme agenda was on full display during his disastrous debate performance. He laid out just how he would sell out New Jersey families and make life more expensive, and repeatedly reiterated his support for Trump's disastrous and deeply unpopular budget bill that guts Medicaid and raises New Jersey families' utility costs by over $200 per year. He even shockingly defended school segregation and endorsed catastrophic cuts to the federal Department of Education.
Then things went from bad to worse when CBS news revealed that allies of Jack Ciattarelli's campaign illegally weaponized the federal government against Mikie Sherrill, exposing her full, unredacted Navy personnel file. In violation of the law and in defiance of clear protocol from the National Archives, they went on to distribute Sherrill's records, which included her Social Security number, home address, and insurance records, resulting in widespread condemnation and calls for a congressional investigation into the "egregious blunder".
Remarkably, things kept going south for Jack Ciattarelli. The Philadelphia Inquirer and the New York Times exposed Ciattarelli for campaigning at an anti-vaccine event with a "doctor who has falsely claimed that the Covid-19 vaccine magnetizes patients." As Ciattarelli has said himself, there is nothing he disagrees with Donald Trump on, and as Trump, RFK, Jr., and Republicans in Washington dismantle our public health protections and peddle disinformation, it's clear Ciattarelli won't stand up to keep New Jersey kids and families safe.
And to round out the week, new reporting highlighted how Jack Ciattarelli's promises to raise costs for hardworking families are backed up by his record of supporting tax increases and opposing tax relief, while his biggest campaign donor intentionally price-gouged housing costs in New Jersey.
Bottom line: Jack Ciattarelli will lie, cheat, and even break the law to try to get to Trenton, but New Jersey families see right through it and will make him a three-time loser this November.
