Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Han Jing Calls on Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Zambia

On September 17, 2026, Ambassador Han Jing paid a courtesy call on Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Zambia.

Ambassador Han conveyed a congratulatory message from Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China,  congratulated Hon. Haimbe on his reappointment as Foreign Minister and commended his contribution to China-Zambia relations during his previous term. Ambassador Han emphasized that China attaches great importance to China-Zambia relations and stands ready to work with Zambia to continue implementing the important consensus reached by the two Heads of State and the outcomes of the 2024 FOCAC Beijing Summit, with a view to bringing the comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership between China and Zambia to a new level.

Hon. Haimbe extended congratulations on the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and asked Ambassador Han to forward his cordial greetings and best wishes to Foreign Minister Wang Yi. He went on to reiterate Zambia's firm adherence to the one-China principle and readiness to strengthen cooperation with China in the bilateral and multilateral arena as important partners of the Global South.
