The Initial Press Release of Westbound Small Passenger Car Centerline Crossover Collision with Dump Truck on Section 2 of Zhongshan West Road in Xinwu District of Taoyuan City

On June 10, 2026, about 11:58 a.m., a westbound small passenger car crossed the centerline and collided with an eastbound dump truck on Section 2 of Zhongshan West Road in Xinwu District of Taoyuan City. The crash resulted in four fatalities and two injuries.

Upon receiving notification of the occurrence, the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) immediately dispatched three investigators to the site to collect information in accordance with the procedures for investigating highway occurrences. This event was identified by the TTSB as a highway occurrence in accordance with the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act. An official investigation has been launched and the investigation team will continue to collect relevant evidence.
