Marietta Power Lineworkers to Compete in Georgia Lineman’s Rodeo

MARIETTA, GA - Marietta Power is proudly sending two 3-man journeyman teams and five apprentice lineworkers to compete in the annual Georgia Lineman's Rodeo, taking place this weekend, May 2-3, in Fort Valley, Georgia. Hosted by the Georgia Lineman's Rodeo Association, this highly regarded event emphasizes safety, training, and safe work practices in the electric utility industry, while fostering strong relationships among utility providers across Georgia and the Southeast.
Electrical lineworkers are responsible for installing and repairing electric lines, often working on high-voltage systems and in extreme weather conditions, factors that make their profession one of the most dangerous in the country.
Marietta Power has proudly participated in this event for more than 30 years and has consistently places a team in the Top 10 overall category. These dedicated and skilled lineworkers continue to demonstrate excellence in their field and represent Marietta with pride.
