Master's Transportation, a leading provider of commercial buses and vans, announced today that it has relocated its headquarters to Kansas City, making a significant investment and creating 355 new jobs. The company has consolidated five of its locations into a single campus headquarters.
"Our state continues to stand out as an ideal location for leading employers like Master's Transportation," said Governor Mike Kehoe. "It's exciting to see this company building on its history of success in Missouri while further strengthening our transportation industry. We look forward to the benefits that Master's Transportation will provide for Kansas City through this significant investment."
Master's Transportation's new 330,000-square-foot facility includes an office space, production facility, service building, and bus parking. The new Kansas City location offers an expansive selection of new and used shuttle buses, school buses, and vans available for rent, purchase, or lease. Master's Transportation welcomes the opportunity to "move people forward" at its new location.
"Today marks a pivotal moment in Master's Transportation's 25-year history in Missouri as we welcome our friends to our new headquarters campus," said John Goodbrake, CEO of Master's Transportation. "Our grand opening represents more than just a new building - it's the culmination of years of hard work to bring our entire team together to better serve our customers. We're excited to celebrate this achievement with Master's Transportation's employees, their families, and the Kansas City business community who have supported us throughout our journey."
"We are deeply grateful to the Missouri Economic Development team and Kansas City Port Authority for their invaluable partnership in creating this campus," said Rita Luukkonen, General Counsel at Master's Transportation. "Their direct support made it possible to bring our operations under one roof while building an enhanced workplace for our team. These partnerships are vital to Master's Transportation as we expand our presence and create new job opportunities in Kansas City. We thank them for their commitment to our vision and look forward to continuing our work together to drive economic growth in this community."
In addition, Master's Transportation offers full-service repair and maintenance to a wide variety of commercial bus makes and models. The company is proud to fulfill transportation needs for Johnson County, Jackson County, and both sides of Kansas City.
"This major expansion from Master's Transportation is a powerful demonstration of trust in our state and Kansas City," said Michelle Hataway, Director of the Department of Economic Development. "We're proud to support this company as it continues to grow, invest, and create even more opportunities for Missourians to prosper."
For this expansion, Master's Transportation will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation.
