Fried Frank announced today that Oliver Currall has joined the firm as a partner in the Tax Department in London. He joined from Sidley, where he led the firm's UK Tax practice and co-headed the Tax group in Europe.
Currall advises on UK and international tax structuring, with a particular focus on cross-border private equity and M&A transactions, and the structuring and operation of global investment funds. He provides tax advice to major private equity sponsors on their deals and to asset managers on the operation of UK management company and asset holding structures.

Fried Frank has expanded its London office space at 100 Bishopsgate in the City of London. This expansion results in a total of 43,866 contiguous square feet.
Fried Frank's international Tax Department encompasses more than 50 lawyers across its New York, Washington, DC, London and Frankfurt offices, who advise clients on virtually all areas of tax law. The practice covers the full spectrum of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, spinoffs and joint ventures, as well as asset management tax issues such as fund formations, management company planning, and seed, stakes and secondaries matters. The team also advises on borrower, lender and capital markets representations, as well as a wide variety of real estate matters. Additionally, they handle restructuring and insolvency matters, international tax planning, tax controversies and individual tax planning.
