David Rossati has been awarded a grant of €150,000 by the Foundation on the International Law for the Environment (FILE) to set up a network and platform to foster new collaborations among environmental law clinics around the world.

David: "The project is part of a wider initiative to create a Global Network of Environmental Law Clinics based on co-creation and solidarity. As the ecological crisis becomes more urgent, environmental law clinics are growing in number around the world as an immersive and meaningful pedagogical model for law students. Our project aims to seize this momentum to facilitate new collaborations among law clinics. This includes the creation of a 'clearing house' matching calls by affected groups, individuals and NGOs with environmental law clinics that have resources and expertise to offer legal support."

The project builds upon the work of the VU Climate & Sustainability Law Clinic co-directed by David and Clemens Kaupa. The team at the Faculty for this project includes Prosper Maguchu and Keri van Douwen.
