Visit to the Short School

Engine 51 and Ambulance 51 visited the San Rafael Early Learning Center at Short School to join in the field day festivities.

Students got a firsthand look at emergency medical care inside the ambulance, guided by EMT Kayla and EMT DeWitt, who walked them through the equipment and answered questions along the way. Outside, Firefighter-Paramedic Julian and Engineer Steven gave students a tour of the fire engine and fielding some really good questions from an enthusiastic group.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the community and give the next generation of San Rafael residents an up close look at the people and equipment that serve their city every day.
