Montreal, Quebec, Canada (September 19, 2024) - In parallel of Montreal Fashion Week, Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group ("Cirque du Soleil" or "the Company") has teamed up with Nadya Toto and Oscar Mendoza, to design outfits showcasing Quebec creativity. After months of preparation, the grand unveiling of the two capsule collections took place yesterday at La Vitrine Québécoise by Les Effrontés, located in downtown Montreal La Baie d'Hudson.

In its drive to diversify its offering beyond live shows, Cirque du Soleil continues to enrich its portfolio in the world of fashion, already marked by prestigious collaborations with industry giants such as KidSuper, Thierry Mugler, Heidi Klum, Zaldy Goco, Eiko Ishioka, Zerina Akers, Stefano Canulli, and Manaola Yap.

For the Autumn-Winter 2024/25 season, a project opportunity highlighting a 100% Quebec collaboration has been imagined. In collaboration with styling agency Les Effrontés, Nadya Toto and Oscar Mendoza were selected to design outfits showcasing their talent and the expertise of Cirque du Soleil artisans.

The two designers were given complete freedom to create pieces using exclusive fabrics developed at L'Atelier du Cirque du Soleil. All motifs were custom designed, drawing on the expertise of the textile designers and textile transformation of the world leader in the live entertainment industry.

Nadya Toto has opted for unique creations. True to her signature, the Italian-born designer has created outfits that are both minimalist and resolutely romantic, celebrating femininity and combining comfort and refinement.

For his part, Oscar Mendoza has created conceptual pieces. With a more eclectic and flamboyant side, Oscar's collection perfectly blends craft and couture.

Comprising 5 to 15 pieces each, the capsule collections will be on display and available for pre-order at La Vitrine Québécoise from September 19. Beyond the creations, this collaboration once again illustrates Cirque du Soleil's commitment to celebrating and supporting local talent, while enriching its fashion experience.

In addition to being a place of creation, Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group's international headquarters houses one of North America's largest costume design and manufacturing workshops, as well as the world's largest textile transformation workshop. L'Atelier is a state-of-the-art space where artisans, textile designers, chemists and meticulous enthusiasts collaborate. With nearly 150 full-time employees, the creative facilities are bursting with talent. Each year, some 15,000 pieces and the equivalent of 150 kilometers of fabric are produced.
