**TRAFFIC SHIFT ** Ceadercrest Road area of SR 92 Project Widening Project

C.W. Matthews, contractor for the Georgia Department of Transportation on the above referenced project, will be conducting two traffic shifts in November.

SHIFT 1 - (from south of the new roundabout at SR-92 @ Old Burnt Hickory Rd to the intersection of SR-92 with Cedarcrest Rd) will be conducted on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2025. This phase entails:

  • Shifting traffic onto the two outermost lanes for both directions of the SR92 alignment
  • This configuration will also direct vehicles through the new roundabout alignment thus allowing the construction of the SR-92 innermost lanes, the proposed median, and the remaining portion of the roundabout while maintaining traffic flow
  • Additionally, traffic on Cedarcrest Road west of SR-92 within the project limits will be shifted to the outermost lanes on both directions to align with the new SR92 configuration

SHIFT 2 - (SR-92 from Cedarcrest Rd intersection to the Seven Hills Connector/ Old Stilesboro Rd intersection) will be conducted on WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 12, 2025. This phase entails:

  • This shift will begin at the northeast corner of the SR-92 @ Cedarcrest Rd intersection, where traffic in both directions on SR-92 (northbound and southbound) will be shifted to the west side to facilitate continuation of Stage 2 construction.
  • Traffic will remain in this configuration approximately 700' south from the SR-92 @ Seven Hills Connector/ Old Stilesboro Rd intersection, where it will be transitioned back onto the existing alignment.

This work will be conducted during daytime allowable hours (9:00am - 2:30pm) and as weather permits.
