HHSC is offering online trainings on suicide prevention, intervention and community support strategies as part of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in September.
By knowing the warning signs of people who may be at risk of suicide and the resources available to them, anyone can make a difference in the lives of those thinking about suicide.

Being able to identify warning signs is a crucial step in getting people the help they need. The signs can include talking or writing about suicide, putting affairs in order or increasing use of substances.
If you recognize these warning signs, it's important to connect with suicide prevention resources.
