Is Rollins Stock About To Rebound

For questions about this article or underlying research, email [email protected].

Rollins (ROL) stock has lost 37.7% over the past year, including dividends, while the S&P 500 returned 15.1%. On its October 22 call, management lowered its organic growth outlook for 2026, saying AI-driven search had slowed the flow of new customer leads. At $34.82, the shares are now back at a price where they bounced several times in 2022 and 2023. How far did those earlier bounces go, and what could one be worth to you now?

How Far Has Rollins Stock Bounced From This Price?

Rollins stock has bounced from this price four times since mid-2022. Each rally gained between 21.1% and 43.9% in the year that followed. The biggest advance started in October 2023 and lifted the shares to $51.40 within about eleven months. Across those four bounces, the typical gain was 25.2%.

The most recent test of this level went the other way. Over the two years to October 23, 2026, Rollins dropped to this price from above once, on August 12, 2026. The shares fell 5% that time before they could rise 20%.

If you put $10,000 into Rollins today, the investment would be worth $13,060 if the shares climbed back to resistance, the price where a rally stalled before. A repeat of the typical past bounce would leave you with $12,520, so resistance sits further above today's price than the usual bounce went. On the way up, the shares would also have to get past $37.26, where another rally stalled.

Level Price From today
Resistance: a rally stalled here once $45.46 30.6% higher
Today $34.82 Reference price
Support is broken below $33.08 5.0% lower
Next support below $29.69 14.7% lower

Can Rollins Win Back Residential Growth?

Management has not shown that it can yet. Rollins grew revenue 8.3%, below its 10.2% average across the twelve-month periods ended September 2024, 2025 and 2026. The company's operating margin slipped to 18.3%, down from 19.5% a year earlier.

Homeowners are the weak spot. In the third quarter, organic growth, which leaves out acquisitions, was 2.3% in residential against 6.6% in commercial. Management blamed the shift to AI and LLM-driven search for a continued slowdown in digital leads. Management now expects organic growth of about 5% for 2026 at the midpoint, down from the 6% it expected after the second quarter.

The customers Rollins already has are staying, though. Management said the recurring residential customer count kept growing in the third quarter, retention remained strong, and customers responded well to a recent price increase. HomeTeam and Fox, which sell door to door, grew well above the company as a whole. Investors are also paying less for that business than they used to. At the end of September, the shares traded at 27.4 times earnings, marking the lowest multiple of the 40 quarter ends since the end of 2016.

Where Rollins Stock Has Support Below This Price

Support breaks below $33.08. The next support level down is $29.69, sitting 14.7% under today's price. Rollins shares already closed at that level on October 5, 2026, after falling through this support in September, and have since climbed back to $34.82. Management said it is not assuming customers will return to finding service providers the way they used to, and November and December are seasonally slower months for the residential business.

Residential organic growth is the measure to watch when Rollins reports fourth-quarter results, expected in February 2027.

How To Act On ROL?

Not necessarily on Rollins alone, if your goal is long-term wealth. Wealth is built by owning the companies that keep outperforming, the leaders of their industries, wherever they are. Here are two companies from Rollins' own industry that have beaten it. Over the five years to October 2026, Waste Management stock rose 58% and Waste Connections stock rose 44%, while Rollins stock fell 4.7%.

Finding companies like these takes comparison across industries and sectors, and that is what the Trefis High Quality (HQ) Portfolio does. It holds 30 quality companies in equal weight and, since its inception in September 2020, has returned more than 105%, ahead of a benchmark that combines the S&P 500, S&P Mid-cap and Russell 2000. See how we find the leaders.
