Vance Travels to Michigan to Brag About the Tanking Trump-Vance Economy Arrow

JD Vance traveled to Michigan today to try to spin his and Donald Trump's failing economy, while their deeply unpopular war of choice with Iran rages on with no end in sight. Already, at least 13 service members have been killed and 200 injured as prices skyrocket for Americans back home.

In Michigan alone, the average price of a gallon of gas has soared to $3.87, up from $2.92 just one month ago. It's no wonder new polling out today found that 66% of voters disapprove of how Donald Trump is handling gas prices.

Earlier this week, Vance boasted about the administration's record, saying "we actually tackle the problems the American people have been confronting." In reality, prices are sky-high and the job market is in turmoil - and Americans are fed up.

In response, DNC Spokesperson Jaelin O'Halloran released the following statement:

"JD Vance has lied to and sold out working families time and again in favor of wealthy donors and special interests - and today was no different. Hardworking Michiganders did not buy Vance's spin, since they are the ones who are paying the price of Trump and Vance's disastrous agenda every time they fill up their gas tank or go to the grocery store."

Despite promising a "manufacturing renaissance," Trump and Vance's tariffs have trashed the manufacturing sector. The manufacturing sector lost 5,000 jobs in February, continuing a streak of losses every month since Trump took office; in total, nearly 100,000 manufacturing jobs were lost during Trump's first year back in office.
