In the report, we assess the impact of the conflict in the Middle East on fuel prices and margins in May and June 2026. We also analyse the differences in prices of retail petrol and diesel between different types of outlets, as well as the drivers of trends in prices and margins.
We also set out next steps in our approach to monitoring.
The report includes:
fuel margins for the supermarket and other fuel retailers, from January 2025 to June 2026
average UK pump prices and their components from January 2022 to July 2026
average UK pump prices and aggregate inventories for the 4 largest supermarkets and 9 non-supermarket retailers from December 2025 to June 2026
an update on Fuel Finder compliance and enforcement
The report relies on data we gathered using our powers under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
