Lifeguards on duty at Shoalhaven beaches from Monday

Published on 18 December 2025

Daily beach patrols will be in place at popular beaches this summer, helping ensure safer and more enjoyable experiences for all beachgoers.

From Monday 22 December, seven Shoalhaven beaches will be patrolled until 26 January 2026.

Mayor Patricia White encouraged all beachgoers to make safety a priority when enjoying the coast this summer.

"We're proud of our stunning coastline, and we want everyone to make the most of it while staying safe," Cr White said.

"By choosing patrolled beaches and following the direction of lifeguards, you're helping to keep yourself and others safe."

"Simple steps like swimming between the red and yellow flags and never swimming alone make all the difference," she said.

Each of the patrolled beaches have information about the conditions and hours of patrol at the Beach Safe website pages:

Locals and visitors are encouraged to always swim between the red and yellow flags and take a moment to check beach safety information before entering the water.
