More about the D.C. Corbin House
D.C. Corbin's home was designed and built by acclaimed architect Kirtland K. Cutter. Corbin made his fortune primarily in the railroad and mining businesses, and during his lifetime gifted the City the land for what remains today as Corbin Park. Many years after Corbin's death, his widow Anna sold the home to the Parks department in the 1940s.
The Corbin Art Center, a program of City of Spokane Parks & Recreation, has resided at the D.C. Corbin house for more than 50 years. The center provides affordable, quality fine arts and crafts programs for children and adults that foster cognitive, creative, and personal growth. Classes are small so participants receive maximum instructor attention.
Those interested in donating to the preservation of the D. C. Corbin House are asked to visit https://givebutter.com/CorbinArtCenter (via the Spokane Parks Foundation).
